'Sussex is the fourth restaurant from the Gladwin brothers and does not disappoint. Set right in the heart of buzzing Soho, this restaurant focuses on the very best of British country cooking, seasonal produce from their own farm and signature dishes that are must-try. The restaurant is a chic haven from the vibrant streets outside, with dark panelling, candlelit tables, perfectly crafted cocktails and warm and efficient service. 


It's very difficult not to over-order on the starters as there’s such a strong offering on the menu. No self-respecting Marmite fan can leave without trying the mushroom Marmite éclairs, other starters include creamy whipped cod roe with charcoal cracker and the hand-dived scallop with burnt butter and apple salsa. The signature dish is their perfectly golden, beef wellington which serves two and you could use a butter knife to slice, order with English pecorino & truffle potatoes and Brussel sprout salad for the ultimate long and indulgent meal. Other mains include line caught pollock fillet with braised leeks and lemon butter and roast spiced cauliflower with tahini yoghurt and wild mushrooms. The drink’s menu includes a wealth of award-winning wines which are grown and produced on brother’s own Nutbourne Vineyard.


 Sussex also offers an value excellent set menu with two courses for £22 or three for £25 on weekdays.'
